Two Hands

I lie awake at night

Wondering what God has in store

     for me,  for the world...

And I stop to have a little chat

Echo fears and doubts

Express joys and triumphs,

     but I'm always thankful--

The wonders never cease.

Good and bad dancing--

Some majestic waltz

     swirling up and down.

Some delicate balance,

They weave across the floor

Guiding one foot after another:

     God's two hands at work
