Its windows dark from abandoned kings
The faint glow of precious gems--
faded with the passing of time...
The story of its glory lost in defeat
faded in the memory of lost citizens.
I gaze upon it in curious awe
Wondering at a forgotten power
Not knowing I once called it home.
